A story about 123:

2 Years ago, internet on wireless lan used to be slow, people were pretty angry that they bought a 2000 rupees card just to get this.

1.5 years ago, wireless lan itself became slow, people started cursing themselves for such a bad choice. Wired lan people started making fun of wireless buddies. Still to encourage, it was decided that wired lan will be taken out so that wireless people dont feel cheated.

1 Year ago, wireless lan became horrible and horrible. It was soon realized that the idea of taking out wired lan was not-feasible at all.

6 months ago, the internet in general started become slow, it became totally unreliable. at any point of time the internet could show us the middle finger.

shiben: hey yeah, i almost lost 1400 rupees while booking a ticket
sarcastic shiben: well of course stupid, using an 'unreliable' internet for booking tickets is a crime.
shiben: its not my fault, I almost lost seat and had 2 run to the crappy old railway counter to book tickets when i had technology to do it
sarcastic shiben: no! it is ur fault to use the network, dont u see? if u dont use it, only then it will run ok. dont use it, just dont, dont share things, dont listen to songs, dont browse the internet, dont download pdfs/videos even if u r supposed to do research, dont download game trailors even if all ur frnds are gone and u hav nothing else to entertain urself. JUST DONT, then u will see, network will run good.

recently, the lan speed between hostel and lab is less than 128kbps, I am saying this because I (and my colleages) are not able to play mp3 songs in labs whose bitrate are 128kbps kept in our room. Forget about streaming VCD quality video.

shiben: OMG! I thought a 100mbps lan is good for playing even HDTV videos
sarcastic shiben: no stupid, VCD quality is 320x240 24 fps, thats way better than HDTV which is 1250x1024 30 fps

according to above, let me predict the future:

soon, the lan between the systems in the same lab will become slow, slow enough that people will start using floppys and cds to transfer data

later, something weired will happen, the slow network will somehow slow down the systems as well. (just accept it, in my story it can happen, ok?) so slow, that people will stop using computer and come down to pen and paper. 200 students mail will be chalk scribbles on a notice board. personal mails will come as hand written letters to the person

then, 123 got converted into a gurucul, a place which is a temple where people learn things in a spiritual way.

sarcastic shiben: Wow! now students learn in an academic period of 400 years!
shiben: u r such an asshole!
sarcastic shiben: hear what i said, their learning period is 400 years. their living period is now probably 1000 years
shiben: wait a second, this is it! 123 has finally done fantastic research! so are u saying this all was a setup for this?
sarcastic shiben: no shiben, don't go that far, thats stupid.
shiben: oh, ok.

and then from the term 'gurucul', came the idea of creating a movie to the 'biggest retart in the universe: yash chopra' he created the world's most torturous movie: Mohabattein next gen. reincarnated hitler started using it in concentration camps; depressed people started watching it for attempt of suicide; "sex and drugs" is now called "mohabattein and drugs"

sarcastic shiben: Omg! No mohabattein! it sucks!
shiben: (whisper) u r supposed 2 b sarcastic on that.
sarcastic shiben: dude! give me anything 2 b sarcastic on, but not mohobattein.

Moral of the story:
students of 123!! I warn you that if u dont stand up and fight for the lan problem, you will get tortured by mohobbatein in near future.
